In today’s world, many products come with only a 1-year warranty. Even worse, their lifespan often doesn’t exceed that—products break down just after the warranty expires, forcing customers to purchase a new one. At product launches, manufacturers highlight the advantages of their products, but once consumers get them home, they often find that these products break just after the warranty period ends.

As manufacturers of the Huiye Rotating Chandelier Lift, we initially offered a 2-year warranty. However, after conducting research, we discovered that the majority of our customers use the lift for over 10 years. In fact, our founder has a unit that’s been in use for more than 15 years. Apart from some cosmetic wear on the decorative cover, the functionality is still perfect.

We started wondering: Why do so many other products seem to be designed to fail just after their warranty period ends? After consulting product development professors at universities, we came to understand the following reasons.
First, many products today are designed as "fast-moving consumer goods" (FMCG) like smartphones, laptops, and headphones. These products require constant new releases to drive company growth, meaning they’re not built to last for several years. The strategy is to get customers to purchase a new product before the old one breaks, which leads to lower-cost materials and limited product lifespans after the warranty period. This boosts repeat sales for the company and ensures the constant launch of new models.
But the Huiye Rotating Chandelier Lift is different. It’s permanently installed in the ceiling, and if it only lasted a year, the installation and maintenance would be a huge hassle. That's why we designed our product to last over 10 years, with the following key features:
-
Durability: We use galvanized steel for the exterior, which offers strong corrosion and rust resistance, ensuring that the product remains in top condition for a long time.
-
Industrial-grade Components: All internal parts, including the motor and transformer, are sourced from industrial-grade suppliers. We don’t cut corners with consumer-grade parts, which helps ensure the longevity of the lift.
-
Continuous Improvement: Over 18 years of development, we’ve made numerous small but impactful improvements to reduce defects and increase product reliability.
In 2025, we extended our warranty from 2 years to 4 years. Looking ahead, we’re considering extending it to 5 years by 2027, ensuring our customers get the most reliable service and product quality assurance.
