Installation methods applicable to different types of ceilings
Concealed Mounting for 16'' Spacing Joists
Concealed mounting: By installing steel bars across the joists, the lift is securely mounted and stays concealed behind the drywall, which means you won’t need a decorative cover. However, please note that while this method hides the lift, it will require drywall repair.
Surface Mounting for 16'' Spacing Joists
Surface mounting requires removing a section of drywall based on the joist layout. Install the two steel bars horizontally across the joists, then mount the lift on the steel bars. A decorative cover is then installed underneath. In most cases, drywall repair is unnecessary, as the decorative lift cover effectively conceals the backer board.
For Sloped Roofs
For Wooden Ceiling: You need to construct a wooden platform to ensure the lift operates in a parallel position.
For Concrete Ceiling:You can also embed full-threaded long screws into the ceiling and then install the lift
For Flat Concrete Ceiling
Make the drill with expansion bolts and install it on the concrete ceiling, the decorative cover is recommended.
Notes:The Wall Switch Control needs additional purchase.
The wired switch can only be connected using UL2464 4-Core Signal Cable AWG24 signal cable, instead of a power cable or it will destroy the main unit.

How to Determine if a Decorative Cover is Needed?
- If your ceiling is exposed concrete, we recommend purchasing our decorative cover.
- If your ceiling is concrete with a suspended ceiling (drywall) and there is a gap of more than 15cm between the drywall and the concrete, you can install the lift within this gap and then repair the drywall.
If your ceiling is wooden with ceiling joists:
- Concealed Mounting: You can purchase two steel channels and drill holes to secure them across the ceiling joists (provided that the joist spacing is 16 inches or more). This method allows the lift to be installed between the joists without requiring a decorative cover, but drywall repair will be necessary.
- Surface Mounting: You can purchase a mounting board, such as plywood (at least 1/2 inch thick) or a metal plate (at least 1/4 inch thick). First, remove the drywall in the installation area, drill holes in the mounting board, and attach it beneath the ceiling joists. Then, secure the lift to the mounting board using bolts and install a decorative cover. Generally, the decorative cover will conceal the removed drywall area, eliminating the need for drywall repair.
